1) Enter the TOEE directory but instead of looking in the player directory go to the save directory. 2) There should be a number of files including slotauto and slot000x (x depends on the number. The author of this mod has 'ported' Drifter's original Humble NPCs mod for ToEE v2 to ToEE v3 for people who don't want any fan made additions and extras to the game in their first playthrough and have DirectX 9c (so they are forced to use the official Atari v3 patch) but still don't want to hate their NPCs.
The editor reads and write to the save files at the location that can be found be the game. That means it’s possible to fire up the editor, make a change, write out the file, fire up the game to check the changes (without quitting the editor), then drop out of the game to continue any edits. The Save Game Editor (KSE) by tk102 (a very talented scripter) has been the most popular download here by far at FileFront. It’s always every week been the most popular download since I’ve been coming here, and for good reason too since it’s the most useful tool out there. For my personal use, I use it all the time for both Knights of the Old Republic games.
I love that you can edit just about anything in your game because all this mod requires is a saved game. I mean if you want to add strength to your PC, you can. Extra computer skills, you can. You can pick the number you want for it too and you’re free to choose what number you want to for that particular attribute, or skill. If you want some extra feats, Force Powers, change of the PC’s class, you can. You can also do this for your party members, not just your PC. If you want some extra components, or chemicals to work with, this tool is perfect for doing that. Want to change your name, you can. You can even change your party member’s names. Want to change your appearance or your party members, you can. Need to get a specific weapon and it’s not available for a while in your personal game, you can. These are just a few examples you can do with this useful tool. Explore with this tool and find out what you can do that I haven’t mentioned.
If you want this tool to work, you will have to quit your game once you make a save slot. Then open the KSE and open up the save you just made. Make sure when you make any changes, you hit the Apply button and when you’re done, hit the Commit Changes button. I also recommend that you make a back up save just in case you do something to mess your game up. It’s possible you can do something to cause some conflicts and crashes, so be wise and don’t say I didn’t warn you. ;) A common mistake is that people open the wrong saved game file, so when you want to mess with a saved game, give a name that sticks out that no other saved game has just to make sure.
What’s new in this 3.3.3 update that you didn’t get in your previous version of this tool is..
X-box users no longer need to supply chitin.key or .bif files to perform savegame editing.
Enjoy the new updated KSE. Photoshop cc 2016 mac. :D
Note: Please leave the author feedback, especially if you download this mod and use it. It really helps encourage the author to make more mods in the future.

January 3, 2007For Those Who Can't Open It: Just so you all know, if you can't open the KSE, I found out that if you have installed a mod that messed with the dialog.tlk and spells.2da file, and if you ever uninstalled your game and re-installed it, the KSE will not work in any game since you needed to make a back up of the dialog.tlk file. You will have to re-install your mods that modify the dialog.tlk file. The simple way of getting around it is to make sure that KSE can't read your override folder by renaming it temporarily or renaming your spells.2da file temporarily. Just do something to make sure that the spells.2da file is not being read by the KSE.
Formerly the 'ComaToes Profile Editor', this is a 3rd-party tool to edit user files. It depends on resources from the game directory, but the game itself will not be modified. With this, you can unlock any or all ships and achievements in your user profile, or tweak most aspects of saved games: crew, fires, breaches, stores, etc.

Many values in Advanced Edition have not been deciphered (they're labeled with greek letters and question marks). If you see one and recognize its meaning, post here with your suggestion! Diehard researchers may even compare dumps of backups over time with WinMerge to highlight changes that coincide with events in-game.

Save Game Editor Ps3
Usage- Exit FTL. The game must NOT be running. (It can be at the Main Menu if you're careful.)
. - Double-click FTLProfileEditor.exe (Windows).
Or FTLProfileEditor.command (Mac/Linux).
. - On the first run, you may be prompted to locate your FTL data file. This is called 'data.dat' in the 'resources' directory under your FTL install. In most cases, this should be located automatically.
. - Switch to the appropriate tab: 'Profile' or 'Saved Game'.
- Open a profile (ae_prof.sav / prof.sav) or saved game (continue.sav).
- Make any desired changes.
- Save, and close the editor.
- Fire up FTL and try out your new ship.
Requirements
- Link: Java (1.6 or higher).
- Link: FTL (1.01-1.03.1 or 1.5.4-1.6.3, Windows/OSX/Linux, Steam/GOG/Standalone).
. - WinXP SP1 can't run Java 1.7.
(1.7 was built with VisualStudio 2010, causing a DecodePointer error.)
To get 1.6, you may have to google 'jdk-6u45-windows-i586.exe'.
Troubleshooting
On Windows, 'FTLProfileEditor_debug.bat' will show you the logs and offer to fix interface glitches.
If you have other problems, check the readme's troubleshooting section.
If all else fails, try asking on this thread.

Toee Save Game Editor Free
Originally ComaToes had written a profile editor. I added saved game editing and started this new thread to continue managing the project. Here's a link to the previous thread.
